After migrating to Windows 7, Virtual Audio Cable driver may not work. Windows 7 installation wizard will inform you about driver migration limitations. The article tells about network drivers but virtual audio drivers like VAC are affected too.
It is not a bug, it is Windows 7 behavior by design. You need to simply uninstall VAC after finishing Windows 7 installation and reinstall it again.
