RTCompress

RTCompress is a simple audio recorder with real-time compression capability using Microsoft Audio Compression Manager (ACM) API and installed codecs.

It allows to explicitly choose audio endpoint (device) to record from, audio format parameters (sampling rate, sample bitness, number of channels) and encoding type (PCM, MS ADPCM, IMA ADPCM, a-Law, u-Law etc.). If you have MP3, AAC or other codec installed, you can record directly in these formats.

The resulting file is always in RIFF/WAVE format.

Works in Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, Windows 7/8/10.
